World’s first project-financed e-methane project begins in Tampere
Ren-Gas’s first production facility is set to begin construction in Tampere next year, making the city a focal point for its expansion. The Ren-Gas e-methane plant will be integrated with the Tarastejärvi waste-to-energy plant to capture carbon dioxide from exhaust gases and produce green e-methane and district heating as byproducts when producing hydrogen with a 50MW electrolyzer. The green hydrogen is produced with Finnish on-shore wind power.
