Nils Aldag is co-founder and CEO of Sunfire, a leading global electrolysis company headquartered in Dresden, Germany.
Nils was appointed to the CEO group of the European Clean Hydrogen Alliance by the European Commission in 2020. As a board member of the leading association Hydrogen Europe, he also helps to represent the interests of the hydrogen industry and its stakeholders and to promote hydrogen as a fuel of the future. Previously, he was active as Vice-Chair of the Renewable Hydrogen Coalition in Brussels from 2021 to 2023.
In 2019, Capital magazine selected Nils Aldag for its "Top 40 under 40" - the most important talents shaping Germany. In 2023, he was recognized as a thought leader by Handelsblatt and The Boston Consulting Group (BCG). Together with his his co-founder Christian von Olshausen, Nils Aldag was awarded the “Social Market Economy Prize 2024. ”

Nils studied business administration and business law at the European Business School and the Universidade Nova de Lisboa. As a German and French citizen, he speaks both languages fluently.
