About
Metso’s solution to decarbonize steel industry relies on hydrogen reductions of iron ores followed by smelting. The Circored process and Metso’s Outotec DRI (direct reduced iron) smelting furnace can be combined into one process or the smelting furnace can be operated separately for other types of feeds. Benefits and environmental performance of the solution are discussed.
